First step is to find out what you’re looking for

Design Concepts

I will produce initial Website design options, including the home page and another key page. Then I will discuss and complete any amendments with you to achieve your ideal Website.

Website Production

This involves the planning and ‘construction’ of your Website. You’ll be able to login and view the progress of your Website and provide suggestions and comments as the site is being developed.

Post-launch Website support

I am happy to provide ongoing support, maintenance and updating of your Website. This support is not included in the initial website design and development price.

Website Cost

Site Design

incl. Layout, Design and Navigation
The site design is what is visible on every page of a Website. It includes the design, layout and the site navigation, which are all consistent throughout the site.

Cost for Website = Site design + Page production + Programming (if applicable)

The most affordable solution to get a neat Web site. Text links navigation, can be enhanced graphically (buttons).

Fairly complex Websites, either because of the navigation menu or the graphic complexity or a more unusual Website layout. Navigation can be JavaScript (drop down lists etc) or simple Flash, hover and press effects, additionally to text links (for search engines).

Site can be/use Flash, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, utilise audio and video. To be priced on an individual basis.

Page Production

Light page: $50
Light graphics (page header, small graphic enhancements), simple text layout.

Medium page: $80
Medium graphics, a classic page can have a more complex arrangement and/or text layout.

Enhanced page: $120
Either advanced graphics or Flash accents, advanced text layouts & arrangements.

Advanced page: $160
Advanced Flash layouts & arrangements.

CMS (content management system)

$120 per year ($10 per month)

This is where you can update your own content (add/edit text and photos) to keep your site fresh.

Programming

These costs are based on using Flash, JavaScript, DHTML, CSS and basic HTML. Any database requirements or advanced scripting using PHP, Perl, ColdFusion, CGI etc will have to be priced as per your requirements. E-commerce solutions will also have to be priced as per your requirements.

Hosting

$60 per year ($5 per month)
Includes: up to 5 x mailboxes (email addresses)

Domain Name

$40 per year.

HTML email creation

This price does not include dispatching the email. If you don’t know how to send the email to your target I can help you find a solution.

After years of experience in this business, I can confidently say that with most projects it is impossible to give a firm price without knowing your specific requirements. The prices are for your convenience, so you may know what price range to expect. Prices are in NZD and are exclusive of GST.
